About the Role Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior RF Network Engineer to join their expanding team in Kimberley . This role is critical for the design, optimization, and performance management of radio frequency networks, ensuring robust and reliable mobile communication services. You will be responsible for analyzing network performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance coverage, capacity, and quality of service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RF principles, propagation models, and mobile network technologies, contributing to the advancement of our telecom infrastructure .
Key Responsibilities Design and optimize RF network parameters to ensure optimal coverage and capacity.
Perform drive tests and analyze RF data to identify network issues and areas for improvement.
Develop strategies for network upgrades, capacity expansions, and new technology deployments.
Troubleshoot complex RF interference and performance issues, implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of RF networks with core infrastructure.
Stay current with advancements in RF technology, antenna systems,
and mobile communication standards.
Mentor junior RF engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in RF network design, planning, and optimization for mobile networks.
In-depth knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and mobile network technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G).
Proficiency with RF planning and optimization tools (e.g., Planet, Atoll).
Experience with drive testing tools and data analysis techniques.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical findings into actionable plans for the Northern Cape region.
