About the Role The Senior Product Manager for Client Onboarding will play a critical role in shaping and delivering a seamless onboarding experience for institutional and corporate clients across BMO Capital Markets. This position sits within the Office of the COO and partners closely with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal and Front Office teams to design, implement, and optimize onboarding and legal documentation solutions that meet regulatory requirements and client expectations. The role is accountable for delivering business-focused outcomes by aligning onboarding initiatives with strategic objectives, driving measurable improvements in client experience, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Client Onboarding solutions. Align product strategy with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
Deliver Business Outcomes Translate business goals into actionable product initiatives that deliver tangible value. Ensure onboarding solutions contribute to revenue growth, cost optimization, and enhanced client satisfaction. Establish clear success metrics tied to business impact and monitor performance against targets.
Stakeholder Management Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal and Sales) to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.
Process Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline legal documentation, negotiation, document collection, and execution processes through workflow optimization, digitization, and automation. Drive automation and digital transformation opportunities within onboarding workflows.
Delivery & Execution Manage end-to-end delivery of onboarding-related projects, ensuring timelines,



budgets, and quality standards are met. Develop business cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
Metrics & Reporting Define KPIs to measure onboarding efficiency, client satisfaction, and business impact. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in product management, business analysis, or project delivery within financial services (Capital Markets experience strongly preferred). Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Skills: Robust understanding of client onboarding processes, regulatory requirements (KYC/AML), operational workflows, and legal documentation lifecycle process within financial services. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital transformation tools.
The salary range for this role is $110,000 up to $125,000 CAD (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements) Salary: Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
