About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in Process Design to join their team in Kimberley . This role is critical for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting the mechanical aspects of industrial processes, particularly in manufacturing and chemical applications. You will be responsible for developing innovative process solutions, ensuring efficiency, safety, and scalability. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize mechanical process designs for manufacturing and industrial applications.
Conduct detailed engineering calculations, including fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass balance.
Select and specify mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
Prepare P&IDs; (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, safety,



and operations engineers.
Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of process plants.
Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in process design engineering.
Proven experience in designing mechanical systems for chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing industries.
Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools .
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and separation technologies.
