Four Seasons Connections Registered Workers are dependable individuals who are comfortable working outdoors during winter conditions. Workers are connected with senior clients who require assistance with snow and ice removal to help maintain safe walkways, driveways, and entrances during the winter season.

Workers are matched with clients based on job interest, skills, and program needs. Work is client-dependent and weather-dependent, and hours are not guaranteed. Job requests are scheduled directly between the Registered Worker and the client, and all work is paid in cash by the client on the same day the job is completed.

The Successful Candidate for this Position Must Possess the Following Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of snow and ice removal practices

Ability to operate snow removal equipment such as shovels and snow blowers

Reside within North York or Midtown Toronto, or have reliable transportation to clients in these areas

Be a resident of Canada and/or hold a valid work permit

Youth under the age of 18 must provide parental or guardian consent

Access to personal snow removal equipment (e.g., snow shovel or snow blower) is considered an asset

Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset

The Successful Candidate for this Position Must Possess the Following Skills:

Self-motivated and dependable, particularly during early mornings or after snowfalls

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather conditions, including snow and wind





Familiarity with basic snow removal equipment and safety practices

The Successful Candidate for this Position Must be able to:

Transparent snow from client driveways, walkways, and entrances

Apply salt or sand when required to reduce ice hazards

Properly operate, care for, and store client-supplied equipment and tools

Inspect client equipment before use and notify the client if it is unsafe or not functioning properly

Respond to client snow removal requests within 48 hours, or as soon as possible following snowfall

Review job requirements with the client and provide an estimated time required to complete the task

Maintain safe working practices while clearing snow and ice

Follow all program policies, procedures, agreements, and health and safety practices

SALARY: Paid by client on the same day of services
