About the Role Our client is seeking a highly competent Remote Environmental Health & Safety Officer to oversee and enhance their health, safety, and sanitation protocols across all operational sites. Working entirely remotely, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS policies, conducting virtual risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. This pivotal role requires a proactive individual with extensive knowledge of EHS best practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage and influence teams virtually. You will drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ensuring a secure and healthy environment for all employees and stakeholders, utilizing digital tools and communication to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Conduct virtual risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with all local and national health, safety, and environmental regulations .
Develop and deliver online training programs on EHS topics to all employees and management.
Investigate incidents,



near misses, and occupational health issues, providing detailed reports and corrective actions.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a strong safety culture and implement best practices in sanitation and hygiene.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role , with demonstrated success in remote management.
In-depth knowledge of relevant safety legislation and EHS management systems .
Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, data analysis, and reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels remotely.
