Develop and implement high-throughput test plans to characterize quantum emitters embedded in active and passive large-scale on-chip silicon photonic circuits at cryogenic and room temperatures
Plan new measurement concepts and architectures to validate and improve quantum emitter performance
Design and optimize measurement sequences to reduce cycle time and maximize test throughput
Develop and document test and measurement processes and procedures, including standard operating procedures
Define test stations integrating temperature-controlled environments with optical and electrical subsystems in collaboration with Device Engineering
Define automation requirements to improve test station productivity and repeatability and drive continuous improvement
Communicate across an interdisciplinary team to translate complex problems into actionable tasks
Define and align acceptance criteria for test stations and methods with Test and Device Engineering teams
Execute cryogenic tests and generate scripts to analyze results, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues to meet chip measurement goals
Characterize test station performance and repeatability
Develop, implement, and test measurement procedures for quantum emitters embedded in photonic circuits at cryogenic temperatures
Evaluate and improve photonic on-chip device performance
Requirements
PhD or Master’s degree in physics, applied physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or other relevant discipline
3+ years of hands‑on experience with photonic or quantum devices
Knowledge of and hands‑on experience with integrated photonics and optics
Experience developing automated test and data acquisition scripts (e.g., Python)
Ability to translate research‑style experiments into scalable, repeatable engineering processes
Working experience developing automated data acquisition, test, and analysis scripts
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Good organization and problem‑solving skills
