WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role is responsible for assessing, researching, and analyzing business and technical application requirements to support and resolve systems issues within the RBC supported solution. The Lead Application Administrator will support one to many applications and the associated technical environment. An expert knowledge of applications and environments is expected plus the ability to lead technical teams.

Job Description
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role is responsible for assessing, researching, and analyzing business and technical application requirements to support and resolve systems issues within the RBC supported solution. The Lead Application Administrator will support one to many applications and the associated technical workplace. An expert knowledge of applications and environments is expected plus the ability to lead technical teams.

This role is a working lead provide functional guidance or manage daily activity of a small team. This role partners across Technology & Operations projects and technical teams, business partners and external vendors. Opportunity to work with cutting edge technology teams to help pilot and integrate with RBC networks.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

DR planning and participation in DR tests. Will understand how to set up, maintain and cutover to DR.

Implement and support new software versions and new versions of systems software. This will include setting up software in development, QA, Production and DR environments.

Provide technical assistance with projects.

Incident and Problem Management including during and post-incident analysis.

Researching and implementing new technology per project and support needs.

Set-up and support of workflow and job scheduler software.

Set-up,



administration and support of interfaces and APIs.

Middleware configuration, administration and support.

Application environmental set-up, administration and support.

SLA management and reporting for applications.

Application support, issue management and escalation.

Vendor, T&I; and business user liaison.

May use specialist knowledge in one or several applications and support environment.

Will understand application use and access.

Will assist with the Technology Lifecycle Management Program for technology asset management.

Will lead small technical teams in the above tasks.

Will perform an advisory role in more junior positions.

Define user access management and provide training on data elements as well as audit process for data to ensure that it is current and relevant

Lead a team of data engineers and full stack developers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Requirements (must have):

10+ years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects / programs.

Strong technical background.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

Strong knowledge of Middleware Technology.

Teamwork/time management skills.

Knowledge of the ITIL (change/incident/problem management)

Nice-to-have:

Scripting/Programming background including PowerShell/.Net/C/C++/T-SQL.

Networking/DNS knowledge.





Cybersecurity knowledge.
