POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Director Advisory Services, the Responsible Investment Advisor plays a key role in preparing research and implementation support to institutional investors seeking to integrate ESG into their responsible investment policies or practices. The Advisor will be tasked to translate complex information into practical recommendations for asset owner decision-makers including pension trustees, foundation/endowment board members,



and/or fund staff to help them advance their responsible investment strategies.
The role involves conducting clear, timely, and insightful research and analysis on emerging ESG issues or peer practices to support our lead advisors in their work with SHARE’s Advisory Services clients. The Advisor will prepare client-facing reports, presentations, strategies, and other deliverables that communicate technical investment and sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The key responsibilities outlined below are descriptive in nature and are not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
Working with independence and exercising sound judgement within the context of a collaborative, inter-connected team, the Responsible Investment Advisor will:
Support and/or design research frameworks and conduct research related to environmental, social, governance and financial issues relevant to investor portfolios and/or targeted asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, infrastructure, private equity, private debt and others.
Contribute to internal, public, and client-facing communications, including briefs, blog posts and research reports.
Provide strategic recommendations to the Associate Director regarding relevant to advisory and consulting products and services and current and prospective client need;
Research and draft briefing notes, slide decks, reports, and other materials that help investor boards to understand environmental, social and governance issues and opportunities for action;
Review and analyze client policies and approaches and compare against best practices;
Keep up to date on current issues, relevant industry standards, relevant legislation, public policy trends and critical developments in subjects central to program activities;
Support planning, coordination, scheduling, and implementation, including providing administrative support as appropriate with minimal supervision.
Organize information on existing platforms (e.g., Monday.co., Salesforce) so that it is readily available for internal and external reporting purposes.
Contribute to the development of team learning, systems and culture to support a dynamic and growing program.
Work collaboratively with research staff across SHARE’s program to coordinate and maximize our effectiveness;
