Finance ManagerSalary Range: $ 70,000- $ 80,000The TNFC provides services to support the cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples through intervention, prevention, direct services, advocacy, and support in the areas of health, education, employment and training, culture, recreation, and social services.Responsibilities/DutiesOversee all financial operations, accounting, payroll, and financial reportingLead the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets and forecastsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsMonitor cash flow and ensure effective financial planning and controlsManage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial recordsOversee accounts payable and receivables processes, including reconciliationLead year-end processes, including audit preparation and coordination with external auditorsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage all government remittancesOversee the administration of employee advantages and related financial programsSupervise and support finance and payroll staff, providing guidance and oversightIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyMaintain financial policies, internal controls, and reporting systemsProvide financial analysis and insight to support leadership decision-makingThe successful candidate will be expected to work 35 hours per week, including evenings or weekends as needed. and the objectives of TNFC is the sole discretion of the organizationQualificationsDesignation in Finance, or related field, industry courses relevant to Accounting or Finance - CPA or CAFM is preferred3+ years of progressive accounting and financial management/accounting sector experienceProven experience overseeing full-cycle accounting and payroll functionsStrong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls and compliance requirementsComputer competency and knowledge of office machineryAbility to manage, guide and lead finance employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being usedProficiency with accounting systems (Sage 50 preferred) and advanced Excel skillsExperienced with payroll systems and government remittancesAbility to speak Cree and/or Ojibway is an assetExperience working in a non-profit organization and knowledge of the Friendship Centre movement, its aims and objectivesAbility to provide a clear Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons CheckPossess a class G Driver’s License and clear Driver's Abstract* Three (3) employment references will be required at the time of the interview *Computer competency and knowledge of office machineryAbility to manage, guide and lead finance employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being usedProficiency with accounting systems (Sage 50 preferred) and advanced Excel skillsExperienced with payroll systems and government remittances#J-18808-Ljbffr
