Role OverviewA full‑time, permanent Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis based at Vancity head office, reporting to the Manager of FP&A.; This role supports the Business & Commercial side of FP&A; and advises on financial planning and analysis activities that inform operational and strategic decisions.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and investigate monthly and quarterly variances to budget and forecast.Prepare month‑ and quarter‑end financial reports and analyses.Support strategic planning, annual operating budget, and forecasting processes.Create and maintain financial models and dashboards explaining performance.Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and ad‑hoc projects requiring financial analysis.Proactively seek process improvement opportunities and forecasting accuracy.Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and analytical capability.QualificationsCPA designation and a university degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.3–5 years of progressive experience in finance, financial analysis, or reporting.Expert‑level Excel skills.Experience with PowerBI considered an asset.Solid analytical, modelling and problem‑solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Ability to deliver presentations to senior management.Ability to distil and summarise large,
complex data sets clearly and concisely.Additional Skills That Set You ApartExperience in Credit Union/Banking sector.Experience supporting enterprise‑wide planning cycles.Exposure to dashboard development or data visualization tools.Experience with SQL Server Management Studio and Sage.Culture FitExcellent communication and ability to convey complex information.Detail‑oriented, strategic and data‑driven.Curious, innovative and results‑oriented.CompensationAnnual salary range: $69,700–$82,000, subject to qualifications, skills, experience and internal equity.
