In this position, you will work closely with some of the biggest technology and automotive brands and companies in the world, working on leading edge technology on a day‑to‑day basis. Enjoy cradle‑to‑grave part creation using state of the art CNC and manufacturing equipment including dedicated equipment for prototyping.ResponsibilitiesDesign new products while applying theory and principles of mechanical design to develop, modify, and test mechanical components and assembliesReview, create, and update technical drawingsWork closely with OEM partners, engage in design meetings/reviews and project timelinesDraft detailed drawings to allow for part fabricationDiscuss changes in design,



method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff effectively, leveraging in house manufacturing abilitiesSet up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to meet industry test standards such as MIL-STD 810GAssemble prototypes and development samplesTrack and analyze project and product costsSupport internal groups such as production, sales/Marketing, and operations by creating and maintaining technical documentation in support of existing and new processes and productsMaintain and update BOM’sParticipate in continual improvement activities/mandatesGeneral StatementThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements of the performance of this job. and sheet metalWorking knowledge and experience with drawing standards and GD&TGood mechanical aptitude; ability to work safely and effectively with a variety of hand/power tools and machineryExperience with MIL-STD 810G standards and related certifications is an assetWorking knowledge and experience with cast and injection mold part design is an assetKnowledge and experience in electronic systems and design an assetComputer hardware literacy and experienceAble to perform routine tasks with minimal supervision; but also, able towork effectively within the team dynamic as requiredAbility to work collaboratively and accept feedback from stakeholdersProactive approach to addressing problems and ability to recommend solutionsStrong attention to detail requiredExcellent written, verbal communication and comprehension skillsWorking knowledge and experience with MS OfficePEng is an asset.Ability to travel as required (when protected and permissible to do so) throughout North America and internationally for supporting design projects, such as prototype demos, testing, and QA.
