The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (AWS ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) based in Vancouver, BC . In this role, you'll manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects. You'll leverage your IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.
As a DPM you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers working with customers and partners to architect and implement cutting-edge solutions. You'll routinely engage with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards, whilst being responsible for opportunity capture and driving engagement delivery. You'll work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities Building and managing a high-performing team of Delivery Consultants
Collaborating with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions
Developing and overseeing the implementation of innovative IT strategies for customers
Managing practice P&L;, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer engagements
Driving business development initiatives and exceeding customer satisfaction targets
Scoping technical requirements for engagements and authoring proposals and SOWs
Holding the Practice total utilization goal and optimizing team performance
Basic Qualifications 10+ years of IT consulting/management with IT Transformation in customer-facing roles
3+ years of direct people management leading a team of consultants
Experience with customer relationship management, especially C-suite level engagement
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
5+ years of experience with public sector contracting procedures, standards and specifications
Currently holds or is eligible to obtain a Canadian Federal Government Level II (SECRET) Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
AWS Associate level certification or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $141,900 – $236,900 CAD annually. Total compensation may include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D;), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and wellness resources.
This position requires the candidate to currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Canadian Federal Government Level II (SECRET) Security Clearance.
10+ years of IT consulting/management experience with IT Transformation in customer-facing roles; 3+ years of direct people management leading consultant teams; 5+ years of public sector contracting experience; C-suite customer engagement experience; SDLC and agile methodology experience; Canadian Federal Government Level II (SECRET) Security Clearance currently held or eligibility to obtain.
