go2HR is looking for a knowledgeable, people-focused Safety Audit Specialist to join our Industry Health & Safety team. In this role, you’ll guide employers through health and safety auditing activities, deliver engaging training, support auditor development, and help strengthen safe, healthy workplaces across BC’s tourism and hospitality industry.

This is a Vancouver-based, full-time, permanent, hybrid (2 days in office) opportunity with purpose, variety and real industry impact.

The Opportunity
As our Safety Audit Specialist, you’ll be a key connector between employers, auditors, industry partners and go2HR’s Health & Safety team. You’ll support audit-related program delivery, quality assurance, employer engagement and auditor development while helping organizations build stronger health and safety management systems.

It’s a role with plenty of variety: one day you may be coaching an employer through an audit process, the next you may be delivering training, reviewing program data, supporting auditors or representing go2HR at an industry event.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Be Doing

Supporting employers through health and safety audit processes with practical advice and guidance.

Building strong relationships with employers, auditors and industry partners.

Promoting health and safety auditing services through presentations, meetings, conferences, outreach and industry events.

Supporting smooth delivery, growth and continuous improvement of go2HR’s health and safety auditing services.

Conducting gap analyses and quality assurance activities that help employers improve their health and safety systems while maintaining program integrity and consistency.

Delivering engaging training and maintaining practical health and safety auditing resources, tools and training materials.

Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of health and safety auditors.

Reviewing program performance, feedback and data to help identify opportunities for improvement.

Working closely with the administrative coordinator to track audits and related activities, collaborate on tasks and ensure a high-quality service is maintained.

What You'll Bring

confident working with people, comfortable balancing details with big-picture thinking, and motivated by making a positive difference.

2+ years' experience in a hands-on occupational health and safety role, ideally with auditing, inspection, assessment or compliance-related responsibilities.

Experience auditing, inspecting or assessing occupational health and safety management systems, or transferable experience from a similar regulatory, compliance or quality assurance environment.

Experience with Certificate of Recognition (COR) auditing, including conducting or supporting COR audits, is an asset.

Experience providing training or consulting services highly advantageous.

Knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and occupational health and safety management systems.

Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

A collaborative approach to work and a team player.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with HubSpot, Power BI and SurveyMonkey is an asset.

A post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline (e.g. certificate, diploma or similar).

Ability to effectively use AI tools responsibly while verifying outputs, protecting confidential information and applying sound judgment.

Experience working in the tourism and hospitality industry considered an asset.

Salary & Perks
$65,000-$75,000 annually, depending on your experience, education and qualifications.
