Position Overview
We are hiring 3 experienced Welder-Fitters to join our shop. In this role, you will interpret drawings and specifications, fit and weld components using a variety of techniques and materials, and help fabricate and repair custom metal parts and products to a high standard of quality and precision.

Responsibilities

Interpret welding process specifications

Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment

Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes

Examine welds and ensure they meet required standards and specifications

Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines

Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal

Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air/AOC)

Determine the weldability of materials

Operate hoisting and lifting equipment





Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products

Experience & Specialization
Materials:

Aluminum alloys

Nickel alloys

Non-ferrous materials

Non-metallic materials

Stainless steel

Steel, iron, and heavy metals

Welding Techniques:

Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)

Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG)

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)

Flux core arc welding (FCAW)

Multipass welding

Equipment & Machinery Experience:

Arc welding machine

Areas of Specialization:

Custom fabrication

Structural construction

Factory assembly

Ornamental work

Requirements

Basic security clearance

Own transportation required

Own tools required, including: Standard hand tools

Steel-toed safety boots

Welding helmet
