About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security operations team in Kimberley. This critical role involves protecting the organization's digital assets from threats by monitoring security systems, investigating potential incidents, and implementing robust security measures. You will be at the forefront of threat detection, analysis, and response, working with advanced security tools and technologies. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the security posture of a key organization within a dedicated, in-office team.
Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect and analyze potential security threats.
Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans.
Implement and manage security controls, including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and access control systems.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities,



and security technologies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection and incident response.
Strong understanding of security principles, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM systems, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
Proficiency in security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
