Become a vital part of EDC's hybrid team as a Contract Legal Counsel. This role involves providing legal expertise in corporate lending, asset management, and risk mitigation.

EDC is hiring a Legal Counsel for a 13-month contract. The position supports the Financing and Investments Legal team in navigating corporate and mid-market lending activities. You will be involved in drafting documents, managing legal risks, and offering guidance on various legal matters pertinent to EDC’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and structure transactions from inception to negotiation
• Draft and review legal documentation for accuracy
• Provide legal advice on EDC’s contracts and obligations
• Manage asset-related legal matters effectively
• Collaborate with stakeholders on risk management initiatives

Requirements:
• Juris Doctor degree and Canadian bar license
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience
• Robust communication and drafting skills
• Proven multitasking and proactive risk assessment abilities
• Collaborative approach with negotiation skills
