Oversee the processing, movement, and monitoring of all shipments while in transit

Supervise shipment handling in compliance with DSV corporate guidelines and government regulations

Communicate directly with customers, overseas offices, and carriers

Manage and coordinate shipments daily

Direct day-to-day desk-level operations of the Operations Department

Champion processes and procedures to meet or exceed company KPI requirements

Establish and coordinate carrier schedules and tender shipments

Prepare and publish reports as requested

Mentor and train new staff

Identify problems proactively and implement appropriate solutions

Manage shipment cost containment

Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select cost-effective delivery methods

Communicate with customers regarding relevant issues and resolutions

Manage recent account implementation from standard operating procedure through execution

Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification commitments at the Montreal location

Perform tasks supporting quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives and targets

Follow DSV policies, procedures, guidelines, and Quality Health Safety Environment requirements

Promote sustainability, health, and safety in day-to-day activities

Requirements

Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a freight forwarding environment

CIFFA certificate, an asset

Dangerous Goods certification, an asset

Proven ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results

Good command of English,



verbally and in writing

Proficient in both English and French

Above average customer service skills

Demonstrated leadership and management skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to manage tight deadlines

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Attention to detail and punctuality

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

CargoWise experience, an asset

Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment

Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
