Lead complex financial analyses covering corporate M&A;, private equity, tax modelling, and post-deal integration
Drive operational excellence and process innovation across projects
Serve as the primary senior-level point of contact for clients
Build trust with multi-level teams and stakeholders
Motivate and coach teams to solve complex problems
Help multinational companies address cross-border tax needs, manage global tax rates, identify cost optimization opportunities, and ensure regulatory compliance
Advise clients on tax laws, reporting requirements, legislation, and planning strategies
Evaluate business impacts and develop strategic recommendations
Advise clients on local tax laws, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and international taxation matters
Lead major projects through proactive communication and stakeholder management
Provide strategic guidance for operational improvements and business integration initiatives
Engage with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Simplify complex messages and summarize key points
Advise clients on US M&A; tax matters, including due diligence, structuring, legal document review, tax modelling, post-acquisition integration, and divestiture planning
Advise on complex matters including reorganizations, loss limitation rules, and earnings stripping
Monitor Federal and state income tax changes and their impact on client operations and strategy
Coach others and support their professional development
Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Participate in business development activities
Develop technical acumen, internal relationships, and the PwC brand
Requirements
US Tax consulting and transaction structuring experience
Experience with due diligence and interpreting complex legislative and regulatory actions relating to corporate and partnership transactions
Experience working with large, complex data sets
Ability to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide client insights
US CPA or Canadian CPA or other relevant qualified designation
Experience with US domestic and international tax issues, including tax research
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong writing skills for drafting tax memos and opinions
Fluency in English
French language proficiency required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during employment with PwC Canada
Completion of Masters of US Taxation considered an asset
