Join J.D. Irving as a Senior Procurement Specialist handling critical infrastructure projects for the River Class Destroyer Program. This full time role emphasizes your expertise in procurement and contracting.
As part of the Infrastructure Project Team, you will direct procurement efforts for complex engineering and construction projects. Your key tasks involve developing procurement strategies, conducting supplier evaluations, and managing contract negotiations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute sourcing and contracting strategies for major projects
• Conduct supplier sourcing and market analysis
• Evaluate and negotiate proposals for contracts
• Manage contracts through the full project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years in relevant procurement roles
• Proven experience in construction and project management
• Optional SCMP, MCIPS, or ISM certification
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities
