Essential ResponsibilitiesLeads the evolution of enterprise and project-level risk frameworks, ensuring integration into Operating Company decision-making and alignment with corporate risk appetiteShapes enterprise risk tolerance guidance and advises executives on major pursuits, contractual models, joint venture structures, and risk-sharing strategiesActs as strategic risk partner to Operating Companies, providing independent review and challenge across the full project lifecycle, including complex pursuits and high-risk projectsOversees rigorous risk assessments, including scenario analysis, contract risk allocation reviews, mitigation modeling, and enterprise-aligned recommendationsRepresents Risk Management in governance and operational forums, surfacing emerging risks, systemic exposures, and market trends that may impact corporate strategy and competitivenessLeads key components of the annual corporate insurance renewal and risk financing strategy, including underwriting narratives, insurer engagement, and cost-of-risk optimizationDevelops enterprise risk intelligence by synthesizing claims data, analytics, and industry insights to deliver predictive reporting and executive-grade recommendationsStrengthens risk measurement and decision support capabilities through enhanced tools, dashboards, forecasting models, and leading indicatorsBuilds strong executive, broker, insurer, and internal stakeholder relationships while advancing risk culture, education, and team development, including mentorship of the Risk AnalystQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related disciplineChartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or significant progress toward completionMinimum 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk, project risk, insurance,



or commercial management within construction or other capital-intensive industriesMinimum 8 years leading cross-functional risk reviews, contract risk assessments, and enterprise risk processesMinimum 5 years advising senior executives and influencing strategic business decisionsDemonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders through expert-level risk insight and strategic advisory capabilityStrong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into transparent, actionable recommendations; experience in risk quantification, scenario analysis, and data-driven insights (Power BI considered an asset)Deep expertise in contract risk allocation, insurance program structures, and construction lifecycle risksProven ability to lead change, drive framework adoption, manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives, and work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing teamCompensation$132,000.00 - $181,500.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
