You’ll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle while building the skills needed to grow into future Project Management opportunities.

Coordinating supplier and subcontractor pricing, purchase orders, and procurement activities
Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, production reporting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Preparing and processing change orders, extras, and pricing adjustments
Supporting Project Managers with scheduling, forecasting, cost code tracking, and financial reporting
Coordinating with Accounting to support invoicing and project billings
Performing quantity takeoffs and assisting with progress tracking and reporting
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
Helping identify potential project risks and working collaboratively to keep projects moving forward safely and efficiently.
Qualifications We’re looking for someone who enjoys being organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in helping projects succeed.
The ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years of experience in construction or a related industry
Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, building materials, scheduling, and project documentation
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline (considered an asset)
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or construction management software is considered an asset
A positive attitude, curiosity, and a desire to continue developing toward a Project Manager career path.
At Horizon, we believe in growing our people from the ground up. This role is designed as a stepping stone into Project Management, with opportunities to build your skills, take on increasing responsibility, and grow your career alongside an experienced team.
We also offer:
Competitive salary ($55,000 - $72,000)
Extended health, dental, and vision benefits
RRSP matching program
Annual bonus program
Paid vacation and sick time
A collaborative, team-first culture focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.
