North American Construction Group is hiring Skilled Ground Workers for their remote mining site team at Fort Hills near Fort McMurray, Alberta. These positions offer the chance to work on one of the region’s largest and safest contracts, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Ideal candidates are experienced labourers with a strong safety focus and previous mine experience, ready to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment.

Paid flights to and from Edmonton or Calgary
Bussing from Fort McMurray to site
Overtime after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week
Night shift premium +$1.20/hour

What You’ll Need
Minimum 2 years experience in a labourer role
At least 1 year of previous mine experience
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent Driver’s Abstract
Valid CSO, Silica Awareness, Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness, OHS Alberta Legislation, Field Ergonomics
Ability to pass pre-employment testing: breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness-to-work, audiometric, and vision screening
Proficient in English (verbal and written)
Safety-first attitude and strong listening skills

What Will Make You Stand Out
Previous experience driving in the mine, shoveling, raking, grade/laser work, managing pumps and dewatering, installing piping and backfill
High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
