About the Role Our client seeks an accomplished Senior Geologist specializing in Resource Estimation to join their team in Kimberley . This role is fundamental to accurately defining the quantity and quality of mineral resources, which directly impacts strategic mining decisions and project viability. You will lead the geological modeling and resource calculation processes, applying advanced geostatistical techniques and ensuring compliance with international reporting standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and validate geological models based on exploration and mining data.
Perform geostatistical analysis and resource estimation using industry-standard software.
Prepare comprehensive resource reports in accordance with JORC, NI 43-101, or SAMREC codes.
Collaborate closely with mine planning engineers, geologists, and operations teams.
Provide geological input for mine design, production planning,
and financial evaluations.
Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the team's technical development.
Requirements Master's degree in Geology or Economic Geology; a specialization in Geostatistics is highly advantageous.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in resource geology, with a strong focus on estimation and modeling.
Expertise in geological modeling and resource estimation software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Supervisor, Datamine).
Proven experience with geostatistical methods (e.g., kriging, simulation).
Thorough understanding of mineral deposit types and geological controls on mineralization.
Excellent written communication skills for reporting and excellent verbal skills for presenting findings in Kimberley .
