As the Manager, Bridges and Structures, you will oversee Capital and Maintenance programming for the BC Territory, ensuring reliable rail operations. This role is designed for experienced professionals with over five years in bridge design, management, and inspection. You will collaborate with various teams and be accountable for important decisions impacting the integrity of bridge infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a 5-year Capital and Operating Maintenance Program
• Prioritize repairs, retrofits, and replacements of bridges and culverts
• Review and approve inspection reports in the Bridge Management Program
• Conduct field audits and assess timber bridge capacities
• Provide engineering support during construction and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in bridge design or inspection
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer Certification (P.Eng)
• Fall Protection Certification
• Effective communication and project management skills
