Join Sprucedale Care Centre as a Behavioural Student, supporting residents in Strathroy, Ontario. Your role will focus on fostering connections and managing emotions through compassionate engagement.
Reporting to the Director of Care, you will work closely with the Behavioural Support Manager to provide care for individuals experiencing responsive behaviours. The focus will be on ensuring respect and dignity in all interactions, while developing a deep understanding of residents' needs to enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster meaningful connections using person-centered language
• Apply therapeutic communication strategies in high-stress situations
• Participate in individualized care planning and assessments




• Assist residents during meal service in the dining area
• Engage residents in activities based on their interests
Requirements:
• Robust ability to collaborate within a team setting
• Proficient written and spoken communication skills
• Open to working with diverse populations under stress
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check
