This role involves providing essential support during weekly sport sessions, helping to adapt activities for participants’ needs in collaboration with coaches. Your role is pivotal in fostering an inviting and safe atmosphere for all youth, ensuring their positive experience during sessions. You will also manage the setup and cleanup of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate sport sessions under coach supervision
• Adapt activities for participants with Autism
• Observe and monitor participant behavior during sessions
• Create a supportive environment for every participant
• Conduct materials and equipment setup and cleanup
Requirements:
• Direct experience working with children with autism
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Knowledge of sensory-sensitive practices
• Flexible availability for evenings and weekends
• Access to a vehicle for different program sites
