The Township of Oro-Medonte is actively recruiting for a Senior Planner for a full-time, up to 14-month contract position. Reporting to the Manager of Planning Services, your primary focus will be on providing expert advice on planning applications, zoning by-law interpretations, and enhancing community development initiatives. Your expertise will foster collaboration among stakeholders while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Development Services Committee as Secretary-Treasurer
• Guide developers and stakeholders through the planning process
• Analyze,



prepare, and present development applications
• Conduct research for land use and planning policies
• Monitor and report on provincial planning initiatives

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or a related field
• Membership in Canadian Institute of Planners mandatory
• RPP designation necessary
• Five years’ relevant municipal planning experience
• Valid Driver's Abstract and Criminal Background Check
