As we expand our footprint in the North American market, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our business growth efforts in Canada.
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and build lasting customer relationships across Canada. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing complex, high-value projects. You will work closely with our technical and project management teams to provide tailored solutions that address Canadian clients’ specific process needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & Business Development: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and profitability targets in the Canadian market. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and strengthen relationships with key accounts in the chemical, petrochemical, and energy sectors.
End-to-End Project Sales: Manage the entire sales process for equipment projects, including customer needs analysis, technical consultation, commercial proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and closing.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers (engineering, procurement, plant management) at existing and prospective client companies. Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
Technical Solution Selling:
Leverage your knowledge and understanding of chemical process equipment to collaborate with internal engineering teams and deliver value‑added solutions that solve customer challenges and improve operational efficiency.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, production, logistics, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery with high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory developments in Canadian to develop sales and business strategy.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the chemical and Oil & Gas equipment, or related B2B sectors. A proven track record of closing equipment projects sales is essential.
Industry Knowledge: Strong background in chemical engineering or process equipment. Understanding of unit operations, process flow, and the specific needs of the chemical and Oil&Gas; industries is highly preferred.
Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability in strategic selling, negotiation, and account management. Proven success in developing new business and managing complex sales cycles.
Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to effectively present technical information and negotiate with senior-level client personnel.
Self‑Starter: Highly motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to Travel: Willing and able to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend industry events, and manage key accounts.
