About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Electronics Engineer to join their cutting-edge, fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems that power modern vehicles. Your expertise will span across various domains including embedded systems, sensor technology, power electronics, and vehicle networks. You will be instrumental in shaping the electronic architecture of future vehicles, working on challenging projects that push the boundaries of automotive technology, all within a flexible and supportive remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of automotive electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and actuators, from concept to production.
Develop detailed hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts for electronic components.
Oversee the integration of electronic systems into the vehicle architecture, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and other validation activities to ensure system reliability and compliance with automotive standards.
Collaborate closely with software development teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of professional experience in automotive electronics design and development.
Extensive knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital/analog circuit design.
Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) and simulation software.
Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
Proven experience in leading complex electronic projects and working effectively in a remote team setting.
