Our client is looking for an experienced and agile Lead Chemical Engineer to head their technical team in Kimberley . This senior role, operating on a hybrid model, requires strong leadership skills and a deep expertise in chemical process design, development, and implementation. You will be responsible for guiding project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of complex chemical engineering projects. This is a key leadership position with significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape technical strategy and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage teams of chemical engineers on various projects from concept to completion.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Oversee the design, development, and optimization of complex chemical processes.
Ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Review and approve key technical documentation,



including P&IDs;, equipment specifications, and safety studies.
Requirements Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering .
10+ years of progressive experience in chemical engineering , with significant project leadership experience.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects.
Expertise in process design, simulation, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of project management principles and risk assessment methodologies.
