North Country Property Maintenance Inc. is seeking motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our winter snow removal team as Sidewalk Shovelers in the Owen Sound area.
This is a seasonal, on-call position requiring availability during snow events, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays when required. Successful candidates will play an important role in helping keep our customers’ properties safe and accessible throughout the winter season.
The expected start date for this position is November 15th, and there will be a mandatory, in person training session held mid October.
Job Duties Manually remove snow and apply salt/ice melt to sidewalks, walkways, stairs, entrances, and other pedestrian areas.
Safely operate snow shovels, snow blowers, and other winter maintenance equipment.
Monitor and report hazardous conditions, icy areas, or property concerns to supervisors.
Complete assigned snow removal routes efficiently and to company standards.
Provide qualified and courteous service while working on customer properties.
Work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team in changing winter conditions.
Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).




Requirements Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor labour in cold, snowy, and icy conditions for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to respond quickly when called for snow events.
Available for early morning, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
Previous snow removal experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites throughout Barrie and Innisfil.
Must provide and wear CSA-approved winter work boots and appropriate winter outdoor clothing.
Ability to work safely while following direction and communicating with supervisors.
