Join the University of New Brunswick as an Industrial Instrument Mechanic in Fredericton, NB. This full time position focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting boiler control systems and field instruments.
You will report directly to the Director of Energy and Sustainability, ensuring safe and reliable operation of instrumentation at the UNB Central Heating Plant. Your expertise in maintaining complex control systems and calibration of instruments will play a crucial role in environmental compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot boiler control system hardware
• Administer servers and local area network for control systems
• Calibrate and commission field instruments in the plant
• Develop and implement boiler control strategies
• Conduct combustion tests for operation efficiency
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Industrial Instrument Mechanic certification
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a steam plant
• Knowledge of Industrial Distributed Control Systems
• Proficient in reading technical blueprints
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
