Contextual Overview
Calgary Airports is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their three-member legal team. This role involves managing complex legal matters, providing strategic guidance on commercial agreements, and supporting the organization's operational and risk‑mitigation initiatives within the aviation sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Bachelor of Law Degree.

Licensure: Membership in valuable standing with the Law Society of Alberta.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive legal experience, combining private practice and in‑house corporate counsel roles.

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Expertise: Demonstrated experience in procurement, commercial agreements, and construction/IT contracts.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work





Independently manage complex legal matters and provide strategic legal support.

Draft and negotiate diverse agreements, including leases, revenue agreements, and service contracts.

Advise on procurement issues and monitor emerging legal developments to inform organizational decision‑making.

Provide authoritative guidance on legislation, policy, and enterprise risk‑mitigation.
