Job Description
The Savings & Investments team is looking for a results-driven and analytical professional to manage Retail Deposit Pricing Solutions. In this high-impact role, you will shape how we determine client interest rates for our Personal Banking & Investments deposit portfolio of over $250 billion. You will analyze client responses to interest rate offers across our full suite of retail deposit products and partner with cross-functional teams to create and manage new AI-driven pricing capabilities. What will you do?
Pricing Project Business Representative
Develop and maintain a register of requirements for pricing capabilities
Represent Savings & Investments on cross-disciplinary teams to implement new pricing capabilities (with stakeholders from across the organization, including Technology, AI, Operations, and Finance, and others as required)
Serve as pricing subject matter expert on assigned projects, ensuring solutions meet business objectives
Report to Savings & Investments leadership on project status and progress
Pricing Reporting and Analysis
Work with the retail deposit product and pricing teams to evaluate pricing performance and identify opportunities to optimize spread-to-volume trade-offs
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess effectiveness of pricing initiatives across products, segments, and programs
Present findings and recommendations to leadership
Develop and deliver pricing analysis and reporting as assigned
Pricing Capability Development
Partner with product and pricing teams to identify and enhance pricing capabilities
Build and maintain expertise in pricing applications, technologies, and how they deliver business value
Create proposals for new pricing capabilities with explicit business cases
Establish and manage a roadmap of the future of retail deposit pricing
Business Risk and Safe AI Evaluation Support
Responsible to evaluate pricing models and AI capabilities against RBC’s risk standards and responsible AI requirements under the Risk Triage Assessment (RTA) and Safe AI frameworks (in collaboration with Risk, AI, and cross-functional teams)
Document inherent risks, mitigating controls, and key controls in pricing solutions
Ensure pricing initiatives align with risk management and regulatory compliance standards
Support the assessment and approval process for new pricing capabilities through relevant governance workflows
Support Deposit Management
Participate in day-to-day pricing management as required
Contribute to ongoing pricing strategy
Mentor junior colleagues and peers
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent experience
Experience translating ideas into real, functional capabilities
Ability to analyze complex problems and create insights from incomplete data
Deposit business acumen
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Think-cell, Tableau, Power BI)
Nice to have:
Master-level education such as an MBA or CFA Charter
Large financial institution or regulated environment experience
AI and client behaviour analytics background
Consulting background with expertise in stakeholder requirements gathering and solution design
Data analytics experience with hands‑on project leadership
Python and SQL
