The Opportunity:
We are looking for agile individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as Children's Service Workers to fill a permanent position in the Prince Albert Office . In this role, you will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families using P.R.I.D.E. model and The Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.
In this position you will:
Develop and maintain open, honest working relationships and encourage teamwork with clients, foster families, biological families, collateral agencies, and colleagues within the unit and community.
Plan for children requiring long-term care, often in cooperation with First Nation Child and Family Service agencies.
Apply knowledge of multicultural beliefs and values,
with particular emphasis on First Nations and Metis perspectives.
Apply understanding of poverty, systemic barriers, and socio-economic issues and their impact on individuals and families.
Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to services and resources, remove barriers to independence, and promote overall well-being.
While the representation of Indigenous staff within the Ministry of Social Services has been prioritized, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
This competition will be used to create an eligibility list that will be valid for up to 6 months and will be used to staff current and future opportunities.
