About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician specializing in heavy equipment for their operations in Kimberley . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the extensive fleet of mining machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, including haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and specialized mining machinery. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on heavy mining equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures efficiently and effectively.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify mechanical issues.




Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements Trade Qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic) or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.
Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines found in large-scale mining machinery.
Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools for modern heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a mining setting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic.
