About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Equine Veterinary Technician to join their state-of-the-art equine veterinary clinic in Kimberley . This critical role involves providing advanced technical support to veterinarians in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care of horses. You will be responsible for patient care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, surgical assistance, and client education. The ideal candidate is an experienced and compassionate professional with a passion for equine health, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative veterinary team in a demanding clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.
Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging, including radiography and ultrasound.
Collect and analyze laboratory samples, performing basic in-house diagnostics.
Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Monitor patients' vital signs and provide post-operative and intensive care.




Educate clients on horse care, treatment plans, and preventative medicine.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
Requirements Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Technology/Nursing with a specialization in Equine care.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Equine Veterinary Technician.
Proficiency in equine handling, restraint, and diagnostic imaging techniques.
Strong knowledge of equine anatomy, physiology, and common diseases.
Excellent laboratory skills and understanding of aseptic techniques.
Compassionate client communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
