About the Role Our client is seeking a compassionate and highly competent Community Nurse Practitioner to serve the Kimberley area. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to individuals and families within the community, with a focus on preventative care, health promotion, and chronic disease management. You will act as a first point of contact for health concerns, conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and referring patients when necessary. This role offers a unique prospect to make a significant impact on community health outcomes in the Northern Cape, utilizing a blend of remote consultations and essential on-site patient care.
Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough health assessments, diagnose common illnesses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and therapies within your scope of practice, adhering to established protocols.
Provide counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications to individuals and families.
Manage chronic health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease, through ongoing monitoring and intervention.
Perform minor procedures and coordinate referrals to specialists or hospitals when required.
Utilize telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations, follow-ups,
and health education where appropriate.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) with a Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner specialization).
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and relevant scope of practice authorization.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong background in primary or community health.
Proficiency in diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
