About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and sharp Commercial Contracts Manager to oversee and safeguard contractual interests for their construction projects across the Northern Cape region. This role is critical in managing all aspects of contracts, from tender preparation and negotiation to contract administration and dispute resolution. You will ensure that all agreements are legally sound, commercially viable, and fully compliant with relevant regulations, protecting the company's financial and operational objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of construction law, excellent negotiation skills, and a meticulous approach to contract management.
Key Responsibilities Manage the tender process, including preparation, submission, and evaluation of bids.
Negotiate and draft complex construction contracts and amendments.
Administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Oversee and manage variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes.




Provide expert advice on contractual matters to project teams and senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements Law degree or equivalent qualification in Contract Management, Construction Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of contract law, FIDIC, NEC, or other standard forms of contract.
Proven negotiation, dispute resolution, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously.
