About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer to provide remote technical oversight and support for a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across South Africa. Key Responsibilities Provide remote engineering guidance and support to site teams for civil infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical solutions proposed by site engineers.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues encountered during construction, providing timely and effective solutions.
Conduct virtual site inspections and progress reviews, utilizing site-provided data and technology.




Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety regulations across all project sites.
Mentor and guide junior site engineers and technical staff remotely.
Requirements A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer in civil infrastructure construction.
Proven track record of successfully overseeing complex infrastructure projects, ideally with some remote or off-site support experience.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills, especially in technical contexts.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage remote teams.
