POSITION: Research Coordinator - Nursing Research Centre
TERM: 1 day a week, Part-time (0.2), 1-year contract, with possibility of renewal
SALARY: $41.33 - $48.49 per hour, will be commensurate with skills and experience
REPORTS TO: Dr. Christina Cantin, Nursing Research Scientist, CHEO Research Institute Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute Inc. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with research studies and projects.
Assist with protocol development.
Assist with Research Ethics Board (REB) and/or grant submissions and revisions.
Be responsible for tracking and updating all REBs.
Assist with data collection and analysis.
Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant information.
Develop and administer surveys in REDCap.
Track publications, conference presentations, awards.
Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, posters and presentations for conferences.
Perform various administrative duties related to ongoing research (i.e. process payments in Workday).
Coordinate, organize, and chair relevant research meetings.
Prepare social media messages, in collaboration with the CHEO RI communications, related to the activities, output, and impact of the Nursing Research Centre.
Manage administrative tasks associated with the nursing research internship program in collaboration with the Nursing Research Centre senior administrative assistant and external collaborators (i.e. promotion of program, booking interviews with potential candidates, communications (creating profiles of interns, promoting their projects, annual report, supporting interns, mentors, managers and leads, organizing intern showcase finale across institutions), booking rooms and meetings, troubleshooting technology during meetings, booking guest speakers, and maintaining the curriculum and resources on SharePoint).
Perform other related duties as assigned by Nursing Research Centre leads.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES University undergraduate degree in nursing. (Essential)
Masters in a Health or research-related field. (Essential)
Minimum 3 years research-related experience. (Essential)
Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
Understanding of clinical research design, guidelines and standards. (Essential)
Research Coordination experience. (Essential)
Experience conducting literature reviews and using reference management software. (Essential)
Qualitative research knowledge/experience. (Essential)
Understanding of mixed methods research design and procedures. (Preferred)
Experience with REB submissions in ROMEO. (Preferred)
Experience building and administering surveys in REDCap. (Preferred)
Knowledge translation experience/knowledge. (Preferred)
Experience with protection of personal health information and privacy requirements. (Preferred)
Experience in report writing, publication and communication briefs. (Preferred)
Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office). (Essential)
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills. (Essential)
Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism and team skills. (Essential)
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently. (Essential)
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage in social media. (Essential)
Experience organizing large meetings and/or conferences. (Preferred)
Bilingualism (English/French). (Preferred)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS Eligible to work in Canada; Compliance with CHEO RI's occupational health, immunization, and health surveillance requirements, as applicable to the role and work setting. Completion of a Police Record Check, in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
