Our client is seeking a meticulous General Ledger Accountant to join their finance department in Kimberley. This role is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, deferrals, and other standard accounting adjustments.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.




Support the financial accounting team with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Maintain organized financial files and documentation for audit purposes.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in general ledger accounting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of accuracy.
