Our client is seeking an experienced and personable Community Liaison Officer to serve as a vital bridge between their organization and the communities in Kimberley. This role is critical for fostering positive relationships, enhancing communication, and ensuring community needs and concerns are understood and addressed. You will be instrumental in building trust and facilitating collaboration, acting as the primary point of contact for various community stakeholders. This is a rewarding prospect to contribute to community development and strengthen organizational impact within the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, residents, and local organizations.
Act as a primary point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
Organize and facilitate community outreach events, meetings, and information sessions.
Communicate organizational plans, projects, and updates effectively to diverse community audiences.
Identify community needs and advocate for resources to address them, reporting findings and recommendations to management.
Requirements A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in community relations, public outreach, or a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with diverse groups.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong knowledge of the Kimberley community and its dynamics is highly desirable.
