About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer with expertise in renewable energy systems to join their project development team in Kimberley . This role is pivotal in the design, development, and implementation of solar and wind power projects. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design to grid connection and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems for solar PV and wind energy projects, including inverters , transformers , and grid connection infrastructure.
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy yield analyses for potential renewable energy sites.
Prepare detailed electrical design documentation, single-line diagrams, and specifications.
Ensure designs comply with grid codes, utility requirements, and relevant electrical standards.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, including utility companies, suppliers, and construction teams.




Oversee the electrical aspects of project construction, commissioning, and handover.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during project development and operation.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector , with a focus on solar or wind power.
Strong knowledge of power electronics, AC/DC systems , and grid integration principles.
Familiarity with relevant software for system design and simulation (e.g., PVSyst, Homer).
Experience with project management and contract administration.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
