SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fuel Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee fuel quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections of fuel trucks, fuel farms (YYZ only), and related equipment in accordance with established schedules and quality standards.
- Complete and maintain all fuel-related documentation, including inspection records, monthly reports, audit documentation, and compliance paperwork.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external fuel-related audits. A
- Establish and maintain standards for site-specific quality assurance inspections and technical record retention.
- Maintain oversight of technical data, maintenance records, and logbooks for fuel trucks, tankers, fuel-related equipment, and fuel farms.
- Act as a technical liaison with airport authorities, fuel suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Fuel & De-Icing Inventory Management
- Maintain responsibility for fuel inventory accuracy, accountability, and reconciliation (24/7/365).
- Monitor fuel inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operational readiness.
- Manage Type-IV anti-icing fluid inventory, including testing, documentation, compliance tracking, and replenishment.
Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support
- Oversee maintenance, serviceability, and upkeep of fuel trucks, tank farms (YYZ only), and fuel-related equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors regarding maintenance, repairs, inspections, and certifications of fuel equipment.
- Provide operational and technical expertise related to fuel handling equipment, procedures, and training requirements.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, operational procedures, and safety practices.
Training & Employee Development (Lineservice)
- As required, lead on-the-job, hands-on, and operational training programs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, procedures, and competency standards.
- Support employee onboarding and qualification processes including the coordination of resources (i.e., RAIC, DZ, AVOP).
- Assist in the coordination of external training, as required.
- Ensure fuel training records are accurate, complete, and current.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to support employee growth and operational excellence.
Safety Management & Operational Support
- Support Safety Management System (SMS) investigations, reports, and corrective actions.
- Assist FBO Manager with accident, incident, and operational investigations.
- Support talent management processes as required; Evaluate team member performance pre/post training, and while investigating SMS incidents.
- Monitor compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Line Operations Support
- Perform Line Service Attendant or Crew Chief duties as required.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and operational support activities.
- Support peak operational periods and special projects as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum 5 years of business aviation line service and fuel handling experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in training, lead, or supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalency is required; Technical college/post-secondary education in aviation,
operations, safety, or a related field, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with fuel handling, quality assurance, and transportation operations.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Working Conditions
- Operational airport workplace.
- Combination of in-office, remote (fuel farm, off-airport) and ramp-based responsibilities.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and active airside operations.
Licenses & Certifications
- RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
- Transport Canada Security Clearance.
- D (Ontario) or Class 3 (Quebec) driver’s license with airbrake endorsement.
- AVOP.
- Radio Operator Certificate (ROC-A).
