Description Purpose DescriptionPurposeContributes to the overall success of the Credit Risk Technology team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
Leverage industry best practices design, test, implement and support a solution
Support the bank’s counterparty credit risk technology stack to ensure that calculations and reports are accurate and timely.
Propose, design, and implement technology solutions to address business needs and support trading and reporting activities.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with the company's values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
Champions a high-performance culture and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
Test strategy & execution — Design comprehensive test strategies and lead end-to-end testing efforts, ensuring coverage across functional, regression, and integration scenarios with minimal defect leakage.
Currency & upgrade management — Address technical currency by upgrading core components including MQ, Kafka, Airflow, Python, and Java.
Production support — Triage and resolve security vulnerabilities identified through Checkmarx scans and production issues, while maintaining ongoing enhancement sprint cycles with minimal disruption.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands on experience with Python and Django framework with strong working knowledge of core Python libraries including NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas.
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications to design or enhance sophisticated software components and enterprise applications.
5+ years of experience in Java and React, with the ability to contribute to multi stack development when required.
2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux environments, with proficiency in shell scripting and troubleshooting on Linux-based application servers.
5+ years of hands on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Sybase, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and cross functional partners.
Nice-to-have skills: Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or JMS.
Experience with RiskWatch and strong knowledge of Capital Markets risk domains, including Counterparty Credit Risk and Market Risk.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Additional context: Web application experience is an asset; however,
we are primarily seeking a strong developer to enhance the performance of a Counterparty Credit Risk application and to parallelize batch workflows using Airflow and incremental aggregation techniques. The application stack includes Python, MQ, and PostgreSQL, and runs on Linux, making Linux expertise a must have.
Certifications: (Nice to Have) Google Cloud certifications or other relevant cloud certifications. CFA, FRM or other relevant Counterparty Credit Risk(CCR) certifications.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
