About the Role Our client is searching for a strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives within their fully remote insurance sector. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through innovative business strategies. You will leverage your deep understanding of the insurance landscape to expand the company's reach and client base. Working from anywhere in South Africa, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate recent business opportunities, market trends, and potential partnerships within the insurance sector.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and growth targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, brokers, and corporate clients.
Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
Analyze market data and competitor activities to inform business development strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, operations)



to ensure successful launch and support of new initiatives.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Proven track record (5+ years) in business development, sales management, or strategic partnerships, ideally within the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of the insurance market, products, and distribution channels.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute effectively in a remote setting.
