About the Role Our client is actively seeking a skilled Remote Electrical Systems Engineer with expertise in Smart Grid technologies to join their distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from any location while contributing to the advancement of modern energy infrastructure. You will be involved in the design, analysis, and implementation of sophisticated electrical systems that support the integration of distributed energy resources, advanced metering, and grid automation. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical system architectures for smart grid applications, including SCADA, AMI, and DER integration.
Perform power system analysis, including load flow, fault studies, and stability assessments relevant to grid modernization.
Specify and evaluate new technologies and equipment for grid automation and control.
Collaborate virtually with project managers, system operators, and technology partners to ensure seamless integration.
Develop technical documentation,
reports, and proposals for smart grid initiatives.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the electrical utility and smart grid sector.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a specialization in smart grid technologies.
Strong understanding of grid operations, protection systems, and communication networks.
Proficiency with power system simulation software.
Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment.
