Lead water management strategies at Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, BC. As Chief Engineer, you will oversee water planning and modelling while ensuring safety compliance and effective collaboration.
At Teck, you will play a pivotal role in managing site-wide water resources, reporting directly to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent. The position requires a proactive approach to safety leadership and effective communication with stakeholders. Proven experience in water planning and a robust technical background are crucial for success in this hands-on role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop site-wide water management strategies
• Provide technical oversight and quality control for water modelling
• Ensure compliance through monitoring programs and performance tracking
• Mentor the water planning team and coordinate with teams
• Drive CAPEX and OPEX planning for water resources
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in water resources, civil, or environmental engineering
• 10+ years of experience in water management
• Registered or eligible with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia
• Strong knowledge of regulatory water requirements
• Excellent communication skills and continuous improvement mindset
