Become a Children's Support Worker this summer at Bethesda Community Services in Niagara. Provide vital assistance to children with special needs through developmental programming.
Bethesda is seeking five full-time contract summer students to serve as Children's Support Workers. In this role, you will engage with children aged 3 to 17 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include planning and executing activities to inspire and support their development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design effective educational materials for children
• Lead groups with diverse educational activities
• Monitor and support individual children during sessions
• Engage with families to ensure collaborative support
• Create an inclusive and safe learning environment
Requirements:
• Ages 15-30 for Canada Summer Jobs funding
• Experience with children with developmental needs
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
• First Aid, CPR, and NVCI certifications preferred
